Not sure what to do with your kids birthday cards? Or cards for any special occasion for that matter? Turn them into art!
I saw this crafty idea on Pinterest some time ago so I gave it a try with Gianna's birthday cards. It was quick and a nice way to showcase her cards from her first birthday. This is also a great idea for wedding cards. I think I will try that one next. Here is what you'll need.

MATERIALS:
- Picture frame (I recycled one that I already had in the house)
- Birthday cards
- 1 Sheet of Cardstock
- Paper Punch
STEP 1: Measure the area inside of the frame so you know how much space you have to work with. This will help you determine how many cards you can use and what size your cutouts can be. Shortcut: To get your background paper to the right size, I just laid the glass on my sheet of cardstock and cut around it with an Exacto knife. STEP 2: Gather your cards and begin to cut/punch out your cards. I used my lovely Cricut machine but you don't need one to do this. You can purchase a Paper Punch from any craft store. They come in different sizes and shapes! STEP 3: Lay all your cutouts onto your background, sheet of cardstock, and organize them how you want them. Then begin gluing them down. I find double-sided tape works the best. STEP 4: Last, wipe off your glass to remove any finger prints and frame your art! |
