Hello readers! I wanted to start some weekly "Mommy Tips" and of course, what better day than Tuesday.
I posted this tip to my Instagram and Facebook pages and got some great conversations going so I thought I would share it here too.
Awesome is literally that, AWESOME! A bout 8 months back my mom was visiting and watching the little one for us. Since she slept most of the time my mom got bored and decided to clean our sofa for us. Nice, right?
I had been complaining about all the formula stains and random things that were getting on the sofa. I was telling her I was calling Stanley Steamers on Monday to have them cleaned and she kept mentioning I should just use "Awesome". I had some at home and used it for other things but never my sofa. With lack of sleep and a 4 month old, I was NOT thinking about scrubbing my own sofa. So, with her boredom in full effect, she went to work and cleaned our sofa while we were out. I was in shock when I arrived. It looked brand new!
You can get this stuff for a buck ($1.00) at Deal's or Dollar Tree. It's amazing how many things you can use it for.
Here are a few things a few other moms find it works great for:

Teething baby? Give them a Frozen Waffle!
My little one hasn't had much of a struggle with teething, thank goodness. However, she does have her days. I was watching The Chew one day and Daphne Oz shared this tip. So, I went out and bought a box of whole wheat waffles. She loved it! It numbed her gums for a little while plus it softened enough for her to have a tasty, safe, snack to help forget about the pain.

Have tons of spit up stains on your clothes? Use Zote Soap.
My sister-in-law turned me on to this soap before my little one was born. It gets rid of all kinds of stains, especially baby spit up. I have kept all of my little one's baby clothes looking new and stain free because of this stuff.
I keep a bar next to the washer and spot clean the clothes right before throwing them in the washer. Baby food, spit up, anything, comes out and it smells good too! I have found this bar of soap in any store that sells Hispanic Products like Tony's Finer Foods and local corner stores in my neighborhood. It's around $3.00 and lasts forever!
